Deeper – Urban Notion – Insomnia
This group of New Zealand producers, come correct with a beautiful piece of art with ‘Insomnia’.
Squelching reeces introduce tight and powerful drums while horns and melodies blend and morph into each other inducing a hypnotic state, a semi poignant reverberated vocal dictates every drum and bass producers motto: ‘I shall not sleep’ as the tune hit’s it’s first huge drop, a colossal wall of deep bass is released, to the listeners enjoyment. As the drums kick in anyone standing still will automatically start moving.
The New Zealand heritage of these producers can be felt in the flavor brought to this track and like New Zealand parties this track is full of fun, vibes and a great time!
Huge track!
Technoid – Lethal, Khanage + Kalashnikov - Contaminate
This incredible team effort from a barrage of this sounds best artists, creates the metallic Technoid influenced monster that is ‘Contaminate’.
Unsettling layers of beats start the progression as the metallic hard hitting drums join forces to get this tune turned fiend underway, rumbling sub bass carries the tune along while dirty reese’s bubble, morph then tear along the layers taking everything in it’s path along fore the ride.
The tune breaks down with a minimal approach to the storm, the drums are reintroduced leading the 1st few bars which then seem to get injected with the drug everyone wants, a bridge before the drop then back in to the madness, multiple reese layers not seen in the previous section of the tune are added helping the progression of this tune and ride into hell.
Deeper – .Lotus – How can I Love Her
A new super group consisting of 3 producers, Spherix (from Catacombs), Signal (from Robot Death Squad) and Aqua-Tek join together for their first of what looks like many great releases.
‘How Can I Love Her’, starts of with alluring bass knocks and cords, a well processed female vocal prepares you for the drop as the bass knocks and strings calm the setting, the drop is lushly set in deep sub bass with brooding reeses, a very sophisticated tune fusing a subtle yet very tech element with a deep emotional vibe.
An extremely versatile and appealing tune, perfect for any set and every mp3 player.
Technoid – Yabol - Dissociation
Polish producer Yabol creates an absolute masterpiece with Dissociation.
Taking the core sound, roots and influence of the Techno genera like no other Technoid tune, the unconditional fusion of the two means you could fit perfect in a Techno or Drum and Bass set and still be completely overwhelmed by the tune.
The groove is set and the intro begins, a jumping cacophony of layers gradually evolve into the drum, powerful drums then lead the intro into a break down which like the title name, displaces you from earth; from the breakdown ‘Yabol’ builds you back up with muffled sub bass waiting to get out, it’s wish is granted and the full tune explodes into action with high energy drums and complimenting layers building and driving.
The tune gradually breaks down half way through the tune and enters into full techno mode, continuing the influential groove for the next minute encompassing all that is Technoid giving just enough time ‘Dissociation’ drops back into the Drum and Bass fusion that helps this masterpiece to have received support all over the world and deliver awe and admiration for listeners and producers alike.
'Flies Of The Lord EP'
Ruse Records presents ‘Flies Of The Lord EP’.
This will show case the Ruse Records concept of 'Light and Dark' releases while keeping on the Neurofunk and progressive tip.
‘Flies Of The Lord’ takes it theme from the Nobel Prize-winning author William Golding’s novel, ‘Lord Of The Flies’.
The Ruse Records concept depicts the imagery of this novel through the light and dark releases wonderfully constructed within this EP.
‘We Are Space’ and ‘Lucid’ represent the lighter, uplifting side of this novel; the new experience of being on a tropical island with no parents or authority, the fun and joy of doing what you want when you wanted in a beautiful paradise.
‘Shiva’ and ‘Tokio Ya No Nos Quiere’ represent the darker side of the concept, events turn bad, the children revolt, turn on each other, animals are slaughtered and ultimately a human life is lost, taking you to a harder, darker place.
Receiving support world wide from some of the scenes biggest names including Concord Dawn (NZ), Jade (HUN), Black Sun Empire (NL), State Of Mind (NZ), Apex (UK), Insideinfo (UK), Brooklyn (CZ), Cern (NZ), Axiom (CH), Lynx (UK), Dose (NZ), Matt-U (HUN), Nymfo (NL), Artificial Intelligence (UK) and many more…

Light – Alex Pusher – We Are Space
Alex Pusher creates a beautifully constructed tune with ‘We Are Space’.
The Liquid foundation of this tune takes you through a brilliantly musical ride as you first touch down on this tropical paradise.
Wonderfully sequenced crisp breaks and smooth progressive bass lines layered with catchy melodies and atmospherics with subtle sounds of neurofunk influenced bass lines throughout help create this very dance floor oriented tune, uniquely placed drum fills and jubilant strings keep things interesting as the tune progresses and builds. Two thirds of the way through ‘We are Space’ climaxes, with a complete change and the whole tune is suddenly engulfed by a hugely weighted bass line changing the whole sound of the tune, but for only a moment, as the breakdown and drums fill transition you back into the original journey but with new passengers.
Dark – Malsum_and_Shintuza – Shiva (kRoNe Remix)
kRoNe’ steps up to remix ‘Malsum and Shintuza’s’ mighty ‘Shiva’, and with devastating effect.
Hard hitting drums, breaks like ten ton hammers push this progressive neurofunk masterpiece, a reverberated cacophony of deep, heavy basslines, haunting females’ choir vocals and are surrounded by displaced ambience and atmospherics which give a contrast to the high energy resulting from the big beats and basslines, a hypnotic, big hitting tune with destructive power on the dancefloor.
Light – Felon and Sidius – Lucid
Felon and Sidius pair up for ‘Lucid’. This production duo flex their combined masterful engineering skills to create the 2nd part of the lighter, musical concept of this release.
Trancy synth cuts lead the intro into a sets of heavy, crisp drums which pave the way forward into this progressive musical ride, atmospherics rise and swirl with the synth as it breaks down to the first drop, and when it drops the whole world will know, The Virus created Bassline is dropped on silent air as a teaser, while the drums and associates elements join at full levels on the next bar thrusting the listener into a knocky bass stabbing verse, the bassline doubled up and spaciously panned fills the whole floor as uplifting pads and melodies help create a musical and very dance floor oriented release, a contradicting progressive Theremin keeps things interesting and adds a soft eerie element to this beautifully crafted uplifting tune.
Dark – Malsum - Tokio Ya No Nos Quiere
Malsum produces one of the hottest tune this year in form of ‘Tokio Ya No Nos Quiere’. An experimental intro leads you into another world, while you’re placed in space before this ship takes off, the tune breaks down to the 1st drop, as the drums are killed an admirably placed vocal states ‘Panic’ in a moment of calm as ‘Tokio Ya No Nos Quiere’ drops into a barrage of techy bass stabs and drum hits. Thinking the tune has dropped for the next 8 bars the real drops lands, huge techy rolling bass stabs surrounded by a set of heavy breaks sequenced with an increase of drum layers creates a whole new level of energy, as the tune progresses, ingeniously engineered reeses growl over the techy bass stabs creating one of the tunes of the year and dancefloor killers of this decade.

Dr Jekyll - InsideInfo - Megadrive One VIP
Insideinfo starts the EP off in extremely fine form, encompassing the playful adventurous mind of Dr Jekyll before the madness of Hyde is unleashed. This rolling, exciting, fulfilled adventure is aided by melodic strings and uplifting samples, the solid and expertly precise drums create the foundation of this tale taking the listener on a continually forward moving adventure. Smooth deep bass lines resound throughout the journey smothered in underlying neuro bass layers which help to add an extra element to this diverse story, another killer on the dance floor for all those who like it rolling.
Mr Hyde : Insideinfo - Clash
Insideinfo directs an audible performance of a man caught between a million thoughts, Clash is taken through stages of thunderous bass lines and foundered on a complex labyrinth of drums and the bass heavy roars of the tortured mind can be heard resounding throughout the movie ensuring any event goers are unable to stay in their seats. The harmonic orchestral choir strings help set the stage as your conscience is drawn into his dream, calm overwhelms you for only a moment, then Clash thrusts you back into the twisted nightmare of chain saw like bass lines and disturbed beats. A dance floor smasher.
Dr Jekyll : Materia - Standing Still VIP
Materia brings his Swiss techniques to the cast of Standing Still VIP, an updated lick to the original classic ‘Standing Still’, the beautiful vocal driven performance is accompanied by dubby neuro bass lines wrapped in a arousing tape delay, this techy cross of Liquid / Neuro and Dub helps provide a enjoyable tune on both dance floors and MP3 players, neuro bass edits throughout keep the flow interesting and progressive.
Mr Hyde : Sidewalk - Night Ghosts
Sidewalk steps in to score the epic Night Ghosts, he creates an eerie start to this epic tale with displaced hi hats and atmospherics. The film of sound then starts to takes life with a masterfully crafted hip hop beat layered with bubbling, morphing bass stabs, drawing the audience in to the calm before the storm. Suddenly Night Ghosts drops with a fast moving freight train of heavy drums and whirling bass lines morphing from shape to shape, the deep sub bass carries this neuro roller along gaining more and more energy as it progresses. The Bass lines begin to shift; expanding to the bridge and on re entering the bass fades then teases with heavy sub bass and lets the drums rolls out to the break down. Touching back from where it started Night Ghosts starts to build again, all elements now excited; the drums and introduced with full effect; the bass lines twisting and morphing; a new added layer of distortion adds to the growing energy of the tune as all hell breaks loose and the universe no longer exists, not one for the faint hearted and a huge crowd pleaser.
